The next weekend, we moved into another home, back to the village both my husband and I grew up in. I didn't have internet for the longest time. The only internet company that services this area said they don't service this address. However, this house had had internet service from this same company some 20 years ago; their box, with their name imprinted on it, is on our property by the road. Also, the house right next door to us is being serviced by them. My husband called B.S. on them but to no avail. After several months of bickering with them, being hung up on by them, and getting a bad taste in our mouths in general, we finally agree to pay them $1,500 to have them install their service. As there is no other available company at all in this area, they had us. It took them several more months to decide to actually come out here and do the installation. I'm still not over that one.
We have lived here for 9 months and I'm still painting walls, decorating and the like. I am doing an Industrial Farmhouse kind of theme. I like it here but it's slow going.
During all of this, I lost my fervor for this story. I was debating whether to continue with it or not. I felt guilty because I have readers that I didn't want to disappoint and I didn't want to lose anyone.
But then, my laptop made the decision for me as it finally went kaput! On Christmas day, I opened a new laptop which is designed for gaming! Thank you my dear husband, Richard! You are truly the Gene to my Judy! Muah!
Sorry, I digress whenever I get on a Gene Kelly/Judy Garland kick! Anyway, I've been simming up a storm and I've even tried TS4 a little bit. I liked 4, but I don't love it like I love TS3, so I've pretty much still only been playing 3.
Unfortunately, though, when I switched computers, I lost all of my saved games, including the Baldwins. Here is where I'm having difficulty... Should I begin a new story? If I do, should I continue at this blog address or a new one? If I start a new blog, will my readers find me? Is anyone still there? (lol) Should I go in a different direction altogether and post sims I've created instead? That would probably be boring.
Please help me out, I really need it. I put so much work into this blog as I love designing and fiddling with html/css, etc. And more than anything, I really want to thank you all for reading thus far and for your support. It means more than you know!
Big hugs and best wishes.... I look forward to your feedback.
